Biography
Lynda M. Woodford Filip, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Linn Manor in Marion.
Lynda Mae Woodford Filip was born on August 16, 1936 to Ernest and Elnora Lovell Woodford in Cedar Rapids. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Clark College in Dubuque.
Lynda worked as a reading specialist for many years. She worked for the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
After retiring, Lynda volunteered many hours at Polk and Truman Elementary Schools, as well as at a local Food Bank.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be forever missed.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents. And sisters, Sally Wilson and Leotta Woodford.
